Turn That Frown Upside Down:

An Analysis on Achieving Happiness and Improving Our Day-to-Day Lives

ABOUT

Happiness is an emotion that seems like it’s becoming more difficult to encounter. The negative has snuck into our world and taken over how we think without us even noticing. Happiness can benefit our lives more than we realize. When we engage in activities that boost our happiness, such as volunteering, being grateful, or spending time with friends, our brains release oxytocin which combats stress. Once you catch the negativity creeping in, try to step back and realize that was only one bad part of your day, but also recognize how much positivity has gone unnoticed. Once this new perspective is established, there is no doubt that our lives will become happier.

FIVE QUESTIONS

1. Is happiness a choice?

2. How can happiness be attained through a non-materialistic approach?

3. What approach should we really consider regarding happiness?

4. Why is happiness such a difficult attribute to possess?

5. How can we reevaluate situations to make us happier?
